Music has many wonderful abilities, s, such as its beats and rhythm, to which one can listen when one needs to relax from a hard day of work and read one’s favorite celebrity news or the newspaper itself. It is great for clubbing like most of us do with our free time. Nevertheless, does music help us, as students, to do well in our studies or does it create many problems such as disruption from our studies? As a second year student, Mike Aguilar thinks music is just a distraction when it comes to studying. Aguilar said, “When I listen to the lyrics of a song, like a sexual song, it makes me want to think sexual than focusing on my schoolwork. Students can study with music on at the same time, but for me, it’s really a distraction.” He recommends that students who study well should listen to classical music because it does not have lyrics, just beats to listen to. Like Aguilar, another second year student, Michael Lopez, believes while studying, music should not be playing. Lopez said,
