Can multiple instances of JLogs operate on a single server or would separate servers be necessary for each plant site?
Yes, you can run all your sites on a single server. You would only need to run one jLogbook program on that server because a single jLogbook application supports multiple instances. On our server for example, we have one jLogbook application running with about 30 instances. (Various customers with their different prototypes running.) This is a great strategy because your IT department only has a single server to manage (e.g. backups, upgrades etc.) and you can also pool your licenses and get a lower cost per license simply because of the scale of economics. You do of course have to have a connection between the sites and the single server. Is there anyway to edit a log once it has been put in.
