Can multilateral organizations (UN organizations and offices, international financial institutions, etc.) apply?
Because the Fund for Gender Equality is primarily designed to build the capacity of national governments and non-governmental organizations to implement their commitments to gender equality, multilateral organizations are not eligible for funding from the Fund. However, multilateral organizations can be partners at the request of governmental or NGO organization(s) that act as lead partners in the programme and that would be applying for funding.
