Can mp3s degrade, or lose sound quality over time?
Files themselves can never degrade, the hardware we use to access and use those files with can degrade ie speakers or sound cards go bad, hard drives or cd’s can go bad, but never the file itself. A good example is digital photos don’t become blurry overtime. So if you are having problems with the quality of your mp3’s it is mostl likely tied to a hardware issue.
