Can motu digital performer 7 record without pro tools?
Normally, Digital Performer uses Core Audio and will play and record audio through any Core Audio–compatible audio interface (including the audio inputs/outputs built-in to your Mac), and processes audio with EQs, reverbs, compressors, and so on using the Mac’s CPU. An alternative mode is DAE mode, which plays and records through Digidesign HD hardware, and processes audio with the Digidesign hardware’s processors. If you don’t have this hardware, you can simply ignore DAE mode and use Digital Performer’s Core Audio playback, recording, and processing.
