Can Motors with ‘run’ capacitors be treated?
Single phase motors in order to run need these capacitors to start and run. These aren’t Power factor correction capacitors. However, most air conditioning compressors / motors have a fairly high power factor and treatment would not bring any significant improvement. Single phase refrigeration compressors, single phase pumps all run at a low power factor and can be treated regardless of those similar to start and run capacitors.
