Can more than one person play on a single Xbox with Xbox Live?
(Last updated: 11/30/2002) Back to top Yes. Depending on the game, up to four players will be able to play on Xbox Live on a single Xbox. There are two ways this can happen: Option 1: Single Gamertag with up to three Guests With this type of game, a paid XBL subscriber logs on with one of his Gamertags and up to three of his friends play with him on the same Xbox. Only the player owning the Gamertag can use the Communicator and there may be other restrictions placed on guests, depending on the game. Statistics for the game will only be saved for the active Gamertag, not for the guests. Option 2: Multiple Gamertags playing simultaneously (Thanks to Jason) With this type of game, either a single XBL subscriber uses two or more of his Gamertags – one for each player on his Xbox – or players bring their own Gamertags on memory cards. Each player can use a Communicator and stats are saved individually for each Gamertag. See also: 8.20 What is a Gamertag and how many can I have? 8.23 Can I u
