Acrylic is a non-porous material, which means mold and mildew cannot grow on it.. Further, the sanitary-grade silicone sealant we use has a chemical called Mildewcide™ which inhibits the growth of mold and mildew. Finally, we create a water-tight seal so no water or air can get behind the acrylic. Without water and air, mold and mildew can not grow.
