Any application that requires an engine oil formulation in the 5W-40 viscosity range is a potential candidate for Mobil Delvac 1. This can include hydraulics, moderate-speed gear drives, some power steering systems, and some auxiliary gear drives on service vehicles. You should NOT use Mobil Delvac 1 where low ash oils are required (such as in many aviation engines).
