Can military physical therapists prescribe certain classes of drugs?

0

I am a PT with a DPT…as a civillian, I cannot recommend or prescribe certain classes of drugs…I cannot even recommend someone take an aspirin or Tylenol. However, it is true the PTs in the military can prescribe/recommend certain class of NSAIDS and mild analgesics as well as prescribe x-rays, etc. I believe that can prescribe “prescription level” NSAIDS, (beyond that in a normal OTC pill), but I am not sure if they can prescribe low doses of vioden, etc. One of my classmates from the DPT program was also a captain in the army. It’s been a few years, but I beleive this is what he told me.
