I hear it is harmful to them. Excess iron intake can be toxic for anyone. It is not recommended to supplement one’s diet with iron unless a deficiency has been diagnosed. I am a 47-year-old female on thyroid medication. I have no energy and no appetite but still eat a healthy menu. I work night shift, so I eat an evening meal when I wake up and then cereal at 3:00 am and again when I arrive home around 9:00 pm. I haven’t lost one pound yet. This has been going on for two months. I will admit to cheating but not on a weekly basis. Where am I going wrong? Sounds like a lot going on here!
