Can members use two different facilities, one that is convenient to their work, and the other convenient to their home?
We encourage our members to select one primary care physician and to coordinate all medically necessary services with the assistance of this physician. This helps us provide good continuity of care. However, members can access certain services at different facilities. For example, a member could use the pharmacies or laboratories at multiple Kaiser Permanente facilities while still having one primary care physician who coordinates all of his or her care. Kaiser Permanente members and their enrolled family members can receive services from different physicians at different medical offices. Each member of the family can select any primary care physician or pediatrician; members can choose the same physician for the whole family or different physicians for each family member.
