Can meditation cause psychosis?
I assume you are asking about medication. During clinical trials (that is, when drugs are being tested) of anti-depressants, some people taking them developed psychosis. However, one must take into account that amongst a population of depressed patients there is to be a higher incidence of psychosis (because mood disorders can exhibit psychotic symptoms). So it is agreed that most of these people develop psychosis as part of their mood disorder and not because of the anti-depressant.
