Can Materials Explorer simulate non-equilibrium system?
[A] No. However, the molecular generator function and the constant velocity setting options, available in Materials Explorer, may be used to study material processes such as epitaxial growth and grain boundary dynamics that regularly perturb regions of the equilibrated system according to user input. But traditional non-equilibrium studies such as fluid flow dynamics are not yet implemented in Materials Explorer.
