Can masturbating cause vaginal infections?
Vaginal infections such as yeast infections and bacterial infections occur when the environment of the vagina becomes altered. There is naturally ocurring bacteria in the vgainal tract that works to keep the vagina healthy, when this bacteria becomes disturbed it causes bad bacteria to flourish and healthy bacteria to diminish causing vaginal infections and associated irriatation. Women should never ever douche, use scented soaps, colored toilet paper, scented hygiene products etc. all of these things can disrupt the vaginal environment. And, to clarify what others said—UTI’s or bladder infections are typically caused by bacteria from the anal area, ie bacteria from feces entering the urethral opening/area. Infections can be prevented by wiping properly (always front to back) and by urinating before and after intercourse. And, never ever let your partner touch your anal area and then your vaginal area(with fingers or penis)
