Can many people working in the wine industry afford to attend IHEGGAT?
Well, as one student said in her interview, if she had bought a car or jewellry nobody would question it. Instead, she decided to put that money into this course because it is good for her career and personal development. It’s a matter of deciding on whether you are willing to invest in your career rather than spending the money on something else. But there is also another possibility: some companies value their managers enough to subsidise their participation on this course. How can someone in the UK wine industry sell that idea to their company? It’s actually a question of me selling it to their boss. I’m putting together a kit for human resource managers at the moment. We will test it first in France, probably with the big hotel groups in Paris. Then we hope to present it to human resource managers in other countries.
