Can many people in Switzerland speak english?
Relax! Stick with your English and you’ll be fine. You’ll always find somebody who understands you although that English (or even Spanish…) is definitely not one of the official languages spoken in Switzerland. Be reminded that it says there that we speak German – this is only half true; the correct explanation would be “Alemannic”, not a German dialect but an independant language (some also call it, not correct again, “Swiss German”).
