Can linking of all indian rivers of solving water problem?
The very concept of linking of main rivers in India, where feasible, is of great benefits to the nation.Will it solve the problems of floods,hydroelectric generation, or irrigation for agriculture ?Taking into account the narrowness of minds of our politicians in the past,when they refused to part with water for the immediate use of people of other states,claiming that it is THEIR river, I apprehend that more problems will be created than solved. The leaders have to be made to understand that rivers are natural assets, and the benefits of them can be rightly shared by all states of the country.
