Can Lexapro and Endep cause Serotonin Syndrome?
Did your GP initially prescribe the lexapro, or a psychiatrist? A psychaitrist is a medical doctor/specialist in mental health and knows more about psych meds that a GP. Anyway, Elavil (Endep) has many side effects–it is an older psych med. I don’t ‘think’ that the weaning down to 10 mg of lexapro would have that effect, but adding the Elavil is the culprit. There are many newer and better ones for anxiety/depression–and a psychiatrist would know all about them and be better able to assess what is best for you.
