Can kids really learn skills in a simulator?
Before the development of the modern high-fidelity simulator, learning real world skills in a simulator was unlikely. But our modern simulators accurately reflect the behavior of a modern vehicle in every way from accelerating to braking, and steering to skidding. Every nuance of the driving experience is accurately captured and displayed. The way the steering feels when you hit a curb, the vibration of the brake pedal during braking, the light steering you get when you hit a patch of ice. All of these feelings, and many more, are presented to the student in a simulation that engages all of the students’ senses. How real are these modern simulators?
