Kennedy’s bed-fishing and the biggest question is, can he put together a solid day 4? He’s been within striking distance many times over the last year, but somehow always seems to founder. “I had a really, really tough day 3, so hopefully I got it out of the way and tomorrow’s going to be a better day,” he said. “Normally I have a tough day the last day, but I think I got it out of my system today.” His first struggle came on his first stop, where he burned a few hours for no fish. That continued with his second stop the wind was blowing on the area, which hurt his sight-bite. “I fished it until 11:00 and caught one fish off it, but I jumped three over 3 pounds. The fourth bite I got, he really thumped it, and I broke him off on the hookset.” With one keeper at 11:00 he pulled the plug and fished cold on the other side of the lake. “I found some protected water, but I didn’t practice there.” He caught a keeper bed-fish off the first point he went to, then three off the next.
