Fire bricks are not made with kaolin clay. They are made using fire clay. Once fired it is resistant to high temperatures, has a fusion point higher than 1,600°C. This is it’s main attribute. As said, kaolin is much too useful to be wasted on bricks. There are cheaper and better alternatives.
