He is also a minor which looks bad on their part that they are trying to scare him into paying. Tell him to stay strong and document everything that is said, and what days it was said. Once you have all this speak with a lawyer and if they continue let them know you have documentation and have spoken to a lawyer about and im sure they will change their tune.
