Can Israel eliminate Hezbollah?
The short answer is no. Hezbollah or "Party of God" is both an actual organization and a movement. As an organization, its leadership can be eliminated. As a movement, or idea, it is almost impossible to eliminate. From the perspective of this Shiite group, the existence of Israel is an offense to Allah. Unless that idea is eliminated, the movement cannot be eliminated.
Hezbollah, like many groups in the Middle East, believes that the Israeli occupation and settlement of Palestine is illegal. When Hezbollah commits what the average person would call a terrorist act, Hezbollah argues that terrorism must be distinguished from "legitimate acts of self-determination." Since self-termination and terrorism are also ideas, they cannot be eliminated simply by killing a few, or even many, key figures. When organizations like Hezbollah are attacked, the react by becoming more flat. In anti-terrorism terms, being "flat" means that you decentralize your leadership to make it harder to target your command and control capabilities. Flat organizations are less effective (able to carry out terrorist attacks) but they still have some capability. Hence, Hezbollah cannot be eliminated.
ISRAEL CANNOT ELIMINATE HEZBOLLAH. first of all, lets examine what Hezbollah is… HEBOLLAH which means “Party of God”, is a Lebanese Islamist Shiite militia and political party led by its Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah. Hezbollah supports the destruction of the state of Israel and co-operates with other militant Islamic organizations such as Hamas in order to promote this goal. It has an army of serveral thousand as well as a terrorist wing willing to engage civilian targets with impunity. Hezbollah is an actual autonomous government which does everything that a government does, from collecting the garbage to running hospitals and repairing schools. Hezbollah receives financial and political assistance, as well as weapons and training, from Iran and Syria. Theese two countries are oil rich, antisemitic, antiAmerican and unwilling to give into economic sanctions or US pressure.
