Can irish people live in italy with little to none italian?
I’m Italian and, as for Italy, the best places to live, in my opinion, are Tuscany and Umbria regions. Yes, the language can be somewhat a problem, likely more in France than in Italy, since some French people tend to be a little cold to foreigners. If you could master just the basics of a language (be it Italian or French or Spanish, and so on) you will see you will feel more self confident and get along quite well with the local. It takes only a bit of effort, Italian and the other Romance languages are easier than it seems and very harmonious to the ear. Once there, you will then learn more and more with practice. Good luck! P.S. Ireland is a marvellous country!
