Due to exchange control, inward RMB remittance will happen if a personal customer has previously sent a remittance to his account in mainland China from his RMB account in Hong Kong. In such cases, the customer will be allowed to send back an RMB amount not exceeding the original remittance amount to his RMB account in Hong Kong with prior approval from the relevant Authorities in China.
