Not by merely smelling it like you would if a pilot went out but huffing or intentionally inhaling to get high will. It displaces the oxygen in your blood which makes you light headed because there is no oxygen getting to your brain (or the baby) and if you huff enough you will die from basically suffocation. You will pass out and unless someone gives you pure oxygen via mask, your body will not be able to get back enough oxygen in the blood just by breathing the air around you and you’ll die.
