Can individuals make contributions on behalf of their spouse or common law partner?

A spousal TFSA does not exist (this is unlike an RRSP). However, individuals can give funds to their spouse for their TFSA. The income earned in the TFSA of a client’s spouse or common-law partner will not be attributed back to the client and will not affect the client’s contribution room.
