Can individual faculty and staff members elect a reduction in salary rather than a decrease in employee benefits?
No. Due to anti-discrimination laws and regulations that apply to employee benefit programs, it is not feasible for the College to offer such an option. As noted previously, faculty and staff members do have the option to individually reduce their pay in a tax efficient manner to supplement the College’s contributions to the retirement and health insurance programs.
