Can Indiana do a better job of getting to the free-throw line?
– One of the noticeable differences in this year’s team was supposed to be the Hoosiers’ ability to get to the free-throw line. White Eric Gordon is averaging an eye-opening 9.2 free-throw attempts per game, no one else is averaging more than four (D.J. White – 4.0 attempts/game). IU is counting on Armon Bassett, Jordan Crawford and Jamarcus Ellis to get to the this season, but that trio has combined for 34 free-throw attempts. Indiana was able to make use of 52 percent 3-point shooting in the season’s first four games to make free-throw attempts a non-factor, but when it went cold against Xavier (1-of-15 from 3-point range) no one other than Gordon managed to get to the line.
