I suppose it’s possible but I’ve never heard of that happening honestly. Cramps and spotting are typically due to something other than increased volume of blood. Cramping could be due to round ligament pains or from the corpus luteum. The spotting could be implantation bleeding or something more serious, especially if the cramping is severe.
