Can implant alone correct tuberous breast deformity?

I agree with Dr. Hoffman. You do NOT appear to have tuberous breast deformity. You have ptosis (sagging) and need a mastopexy. If you are happy with your breast cup size in a bra, you do not need an augmentation. In my practice, I would not perform an augmentation on you; an implant will only aggravate your tendency towards sagging. In addition, the diameter of your areola is enlarged and this can be reduced to a more aesthetically pleasing diameter at the same time as the mastopexy. If, in fact, you had tuberous breast deformity, an implant alone would not correct it. Usually the patient needs to have a mastopexy, release of tissues and, in severe cases, a staged approach using tissue expanders. I urge you to get a second opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps. Tracy M.
