Mexico’s drivers license requirements for all its states, are federally mandated, and requires the applicant to be able to read and write, be over the age of 18, unless a student of 17, show an official photo and signed identification. The ID can be either a Mexican passport, a federal or state voter’s ID, or a military identification. They must ALSO show proof of residency by supplying a utility and/or tax bills that are less than one month old. Foreign nationals in the country must “duly prove their legal residency in the country.” Oh, by the way . . . Mexico does not permit illegal aliens to receive a driver’s license.(5) Notice that the acceptable IDs do not include the Matricular Consular Card which is accepted here at American Banks and when applying for ‘public benefits!’ Also notice that, all the Mexican government requirements are nearly identical to the Real ID Act! So why do the Hispanic and Latino ‘immigrant advocacy’ groups, etc., protest, plead, petition, and demand that
