Can IDED provide financial assistance to flood-proof an existing business or industrial park?
There is no new money for water infrastructure investments. Such investments would have to come through the local government as part of a CDBG application or to IFA for a state Revolving Fund loan. Protection of an existing business is not an eligible use of Physical Infrastructure Assistance Program (PIAP) funds. However, if flood protection is a component of a larger project resulting in new jobs, the project may be eligible for assistance.
