Can I withdraw from UNIV 101, English writing (ENG 130) or a competence course before the withdrawal deadline?

Students must complete UNIV 101 and English writing the semester they are assigned. Likewise students may not withdraw from a competence course if it is the semester they are to fulfill the requirement or beyond. Exceptions for extenuating circumstances are granted only by petition.
