Can i weld storage boxes right into my truck bed?
I guess if you know your metallurgy, you can weld right onto a truck frame. There is a grain to the metal of a vehicle frame though, and I was told if you don’t know what you’re doing, you can weaken it by welding on it. I took 2 qtrs. of welding and remember well the instructor telling people not to. I think he said that because he knew once some of us thought we could weld, we’d do something like that and do more damage than good. I would suggest drilling holes and bolting it down.
