Can I watch Clic anywhere in the world?
Normally, Clic is only available to view in the UK. If worldwide rights have been cleared, the programme’s Clic page will tell you the licensed territories. The necessary permissions must be obtained before S4C can offer any content on the web. From time to time, it is possible to watch some programmes outside the UK. These are usually events or programmes that don’t have rights issues attached to them. Sometimes it’s not possible to secure rights because of the nature of the programme or the ownership rights. The cost of clearing rights on the basis of worldwide broadcast can be very expensive. This is especially true of music, which is an integral part of our programmes. Some of the agencies who represent composers and songwriters have created a procedure for clearing rights on behalf of each other (‘reciprocal arrangements’) but this is an arduous and complex task.
