Can I wash a rabbit fur hat?
It’s quite possible to clean fur clothing, but you likely will not have the necessary materials yourself. Washing fur with shampoo makes it come out looking like, well, an animal that has just been washed. Unlike a living animal, however, it won’t naturally return to looking good. A good dry cleaners, though, will be able to do a perfectly good job of washing it. It’s a bit bothersome to take the hat there every time it starts to smell bad (every couple of weeks or so, perhaps), but it’ll be much better for the life of the hat.
