Can I use a technology similar to 10-4 to dial my home phone and make phone calls from it? Such a technology should exist. I know I would not be able to roam that many miles, but I am never far with my cell phone anyway. The only reason such a technology wouldn’t exist seems to me that phone companies would supress it because it would surely hurt the mobile phone industry! It could be done with a PC with a programing language compiler, like C, installed touch tone encoders and decoders (like found on some old dial-up modems), an old phone (for its headset), a PC relay input / output card and several weeks of effort.
