Can I volunteer in an old peoples home at the age of 16?
Yes you can. Im 16 and waited a year or two before i could volunteer in a nursery. Visit/email/phone them, explaining you would like to volunteer in your holidays and im sure they wil be very grateful, and they need all the help they can get. After that, they will CRB check you (see if you have any criminal offences) This is not for them selves, they legally have to crb check anyone who will be near vulnerable people like children, people with disabilities and elderly people. Once the CRB check comes through, you can volunteer as much as you like.
