Can I use Xbox Linux without a Keyboard and Mouse? Could I use the Xbox DVD Remote Controll for instead?
Thanx Reply1: You don’t necessarily need a keyboard and mouse, but you won’t be able to use the Remote Control for much. Basically, I would either have a keyboard and mouse or always control your XBox from another computer via telnet. Reply2: Alright, I suppose I wasn’t quite clear enough. Sorry :-(. You CAN use the DVD remove under Xebian in place of a mouse, but it is very clunky. The four directional arrow keys move the cursor, the “SELECT” button performs the actions of the left mouse button, and the “MENU” button is the same as right-clicking. To access the menu under Linux, you right-click so I guess that choice makes sense. However, if you own a XPad (and you should, since at least one comes with new consoles) using it is a MUCH better choice. You can get by using just an XPad, but it sure is nice to have a keyboard around too…
