Yes, it is possible with a number of tools that record VNC and transform it to swf format or others. One such popular tool is pyvnc2swf. There are a number of tutorials (broken link?) on how to do this. Another option is to use the vnc2mpg that comes in the LibVNCServer package. An important thing to remember when doing this is that tuning parameters should be applied to x11vnc to speed up its polling for this sort of application, e.g.
