Can I use Windows XP Media Center 2004 to do one touch recording to DVD media?

There is some confusion regarding the way Gateway Media Center PC (610, 510, and 710) may record movies or programs on DVD. An ad for the 610 Media Center featured on page 17 of the Gateway Holiday 2003 Gift Catalog states the following: “Watch what you want when you want – even copy shows to DVD from your remote.” While this statement is true, it must be noted that to record programs to DVD from the remote the information must first be copied to the hard drive. In other words, the ability to record programs to DVD from the remote is not a one touch record function.
