Can I use WebFile if I have Professional or Standard Adobe Acrobat, instead of Adobe Reader?

If you have Adobe Acrobat 8 or higher, you should be able to use WebFile or Smart PDF. We recommend updating your version of Professional or Standard rather than installing Adobe Reader. If updating your Professional or Standard version is not possible, you can download and install the free Adobe Reader. Exit all Web browser windows and wait at least 30 seconds. • Open Adobe Reader. • Minimize Adobe Reader (do not close it with the “X” at the top right hand corner). • Open your Web browser. • Return to the Texas Franchise Tax Forms or WebFile page and begin again.
