WD Elements 320 needs to be formatted on OSX before use. The instructions did not come with the product – instead a CD was included in the box with a program called memeo – which was useless. I found out how to format and partition the disk – using disk utility in applications on the Mac. I can’t think why you bother with this service if you just wait a few hours and then ask me how to do it!
