Can I use VS.NET 2002 in the Bootcamp?

Yes, you can. Right now, there are two versions of Visual Studio (Visual Basic) in circulation. The first version, Visual Studio.Net 2002, was released in 2002. The second, Visual Studio.Net 2003, was released in 2003 (nothing yet in 2004). You can use either version in the Bootcamp, although I recommend that you upgrade to the latest version, 2003. For those of you in the Bootcamp running 2002, your files will be readable by 2003 students, but you won’t be able to open 2003 files. I have both versions, so it won’t be an issue—I’ll be able to review projects from both versions. I believe the sample files available with the Textbook are in 2002 format.
