Can I use ViaVoice for Windows in chat rooms?
Yes, with your chat room window open, you can use Direct Dictation to dictate your message. We recommend that you activate the Chatter’s Jargon Topic when you are in a chat room and instant messaging. The Chatter’s Jargon includes special abbreviations, acronyms and emoticons, such as smiley faces, that most people use while in a chat room. Remember to deactivate the Chatter’s Jargon when you are done because many words are likely to appear in a chatting abbreviated form. You can activate and deactivate different topics by going into ViaVoice Options, User tab and selecting or deselecting your specialized topic.
