No, it physically will not fit. Deploy the Tempo-X eSATA 8 card in either slot 2 or 3. Note: If any PCI-X card is in slot 2 or 3 along with a slower PCI card in slot 3 or 2, respectively, then both slots 2 and 3 will slow down to PCI speeds—i.e., slot 2 and 3 operate on a lowest common denominator model. For up to four drives, the Sonnet Tempo-X will run at full speed in any slot configuration. For 5-to-8 drives, the Sonnet Tempo-X eSATA will run at full speed in slot 2 or 3, unless you are additionally using a PCI card (not PCI-X) in slot 3 or 2, respectively.
