Can I use the Sillites Self-Contained Receptacle (SCR) in a fireplace mantle?

Certainly! The Sillites SCR is a standard electrical receptacle and you can plug any 120 volt item like a lamp or Christmas garland into it. However, unlike standard rectangle shaped outlets, the SCR is round. Therefore, no router is needed–simply drill the hole, pull through the wire, and attach the SCR. Plus, it mounts flush!! Feel free to use the SCR in built-ins, cabinets or anywhere else a small receptacle is needed.
