Can I use the Segway HT in varying climates?
Yes. Like a person walking, all that a Segway human transporter requires is traction to operate in any environment. The device is completely sealed to allow it to operate in the rain and snow. Our standard tires were optimized for the widest range of potential uses including wet surfaces, rain, and indoors. However, just as you would wear boots in heavy snow, we recommend using snow tires on the Segway HT for optimal performance and safety. We have tested and demonstrated prototype snow tires and the Segway HT handled it expertly. We expect to have production snow tires available in the near future.
